HARRISON, OH (FOX19) -

A man was flown to the hospital Sunday after a drive-by shooting in Harrison, authorities said.

The victim was traveling westbound on Interstate 74 when he was shot by a person in another vehicle, according to police. He reportedly pulled into a gas station on Dry Fork Road with a gunshot wound to the chest before being picked up by Air Care.

The victim's vehicle reportedly had multiple bullet holes in the windows.

Initially, authorities said the shooting may have been a road-rage situation.

On Monday afternoon, however, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said after a further investigation the incident did not appear to be a result of road rage.

The shooter was reportedly in a silver four-door vehicle last seen headed north on Dry Fork road.
