INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Relatives of an Indianapolis teenager whose badly burned body was found in a yard say they believe she was abducted and killed by a stranger.

Marion County Chief Deputy Coroner Alfarena Ballew on Tuesday ruled the death of 15-year-old Dominique Allen a homicide as the result of asphyxiation.

Indianapolis police say a man walking his dog found Allen's body in his backyard on the city's near northwest side on Sunday. Police discovered the teen's purse and shoes Tuesday about a block from where her body was found.

Shenika Poindexter says her sister wasn't the type to talk to strangers or get in a car with someone she didn't know.

Wayne Township school officials brought in counselors at the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center to help students cope with Allen's death.
