ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

DHL is holding a job fair Monday to find 200 people who will fill part-time and seasonal positions at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport hub.

The positions offered will be within the company's shorting operations at CVG which is one of DHL's 'super hubs' worldwide. The company is offering a variety of options to fit many different schedules. Jobs vary from 10-25 hours a week with flexible scheduling, and some offer benefits.

According to DHL, these openings were created to reflect the continued growth of shipping operations at CVG, where volumes have increased more than 14 percent since this time last year.

Many positions will require the ability to sort, load and unload materials. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis and 70 pounds at times.

The company will be holding a career fair Sept. 8 to start hiring for these positions.

Career fair:

  • Sept. 8 from 1 to 7 p.m.
  • DHL Recruiting Center: 236 Wendell H. Ford Blvd. Erlanger, Ky.
  • Joanie Arias, Vice President and General Manager for the Americas hub and Chris Preston, Vice President for the Americas hub will both be present at the event.

DHL employs more than 2,000 people at its CVG hub.

Meijer stores across Ohio are reportedly hiring more than 1,000 positions as well. Representatives say the 1,700 jobs are due to new store openings and the holiday season.
