CVG Airport is making sure all of its passengers, crew and first responders are ready to handle any crisis that might happen at the airport.
Friday morning CVG will hold a mandatory FAA disaster drill.
CVG will simulate a disaster to test the airport's emergency plan.
Mutual aid is a major part of the drill.
Over 100 volunteers, 70 ambulances and 12 fire engines will participate in the drill.
CVG leaders want to make sure that if you are flying Friday morning, live near or just are driving past the airport to not be alarmed if you see smoke or emergency vehicles at the airport.
The drill begins at 9 a.m. and is expected to last for two hours.
