Cop DUI Trial Is Mistrial

The two day trial of a Newport Police officer is over. Sgt. Mark Crank was neither convicted nor acquitted. After deliberating six hours the six person Campbell County, Kentucky jury told Judge Charles Moore they could not reach a verdict. Crank was pulled over for DUI in August by a Fort Thomas police officer. The stop was recorded with the officer's dash camera. Crank admits he was served four beers that night but testified he did not finish them all. A hearing to consider the start of a new trial is set for December 15.
