COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

The northern Kentucky teacher who was charged for allegedly having drug shipments sent to her middle school classroom appeared in court Monday.

Arin Staples resigned from Holmes Middle School on Aug. 15, one day after federal drug agents visited the school.

The seventh grade teacher pleaded not guilty in a Kenton County courtroom on Monday to felony drug charges. The Kenton County prosecutor alleges Staples had cocaine delivered to her classroom.

Staples is due in court later this week.
