Frailey out as Cincinnati school boss; Blackwell interim leader

Cincinnati school Superintendent Alton Frailey has quickly wrapped up his job, just three days after district officials learned he planned to leave for a system in Texas. Officials with the DeSoto Independent School District, outside Dallas, indicated to Frailey they would like him to start in March. His contract with Cincinnati schools would have ended July 31, 2006, but Frailey had the option to end it at any time. yesterday was his last day on the job. Frailey has been in charge of the nearly 39-thousand-student district for two years. The agreement would allow Frailey to leave the district now by using vacation days and accumulated leave. His annual salary is 195-thousand dollars.
