Holmes Middle School teacher pleads guilty

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

The northern Kentucky teacher who was charged for allegedly having drugs shipments sent to her middle school classroom pled guilty to prohibited acts related to controlled substances on Thursday.

Arin Staples received three years of probation and must forfeit her teaching license.

Staples cannot work in any capacity that puts her in contact with a school.  She  resigned from Holmes Middle School on Aug. 15, one day after federal drug agents visited the school.

Staples originally pled not guilty to the charges on Monday.
