Released video from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the moments following the capture of convicted killer TJ Lane, who escaped from a Lima, Ohio prison Thursday night.

Lane, 19, is serving a life sentence for fatally shooting three students in the cafeteria of Chardon High School in February 2012. Chardon is located just outside of Cleveland.

Lane, Clifford Opperud and Lindsey Bruce escaped Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution around 7:45 p.m. Police say they scaled a prison fence to get out.

Bruce, who is serving a life sentence for murder, was apprehended within 10 minutes.

Lane was captured six hours later around 1:30 a.m. and was armed with a pitchfork, police say.

Helicopters and thermal imaging cameras aided in the search, according to WOIO. The aerial video from OSHP, shot moments after his capture, shows five officers closely surrounding Lane with more officers scattered throughout the area. Authorities say he was located only 100 yards from the prison.

Opperud, who is serving a 12-year sentence for a Warren County aggravated robbery and kidnapping, was located a few hours later.

All three inmates have been transferred to the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown.
