GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A father and son are now behind bars after Goshen Township Police connected them to several burglaries throughout the Tri-State.

The two were caught after a July 5 burglary in the 1600 block of Fay Road in Goshen Township. When the officers arrived to the scene, the men had already fled. However, the suspects were quickly developed and officers were able to locate their residence.

Codie Taylor, 23, and Larry Taylor, 50, were found in possession of the stolen items, including a safe and other electronics.

Detectives then investigated further to determine if the duo was linked to any other burglary cases in the area.

Codie Taylor was then connected to another burglary in Goshen as well as five others; one in Highland County and four in Brown County.

According to police, firearms were stolen in most of the burglaries. In one case, an elderly man was robbed of more than $60,000 in silver certificates, dollar bills dated in the 1800s, and a variety of old coins.

Officials say the men targeted houses of friends and family they had stayed with and well as people they did work for.

Both Codie and Larry are now in the Clermont County Jail. Larry has been charged with burglary, complicity to burglary and safecracking. Codie is charged with safecracking, theft and two counts of burglary.

Codie was also indicted on four counts of burglary and four counts of grand theft in Brown County as well as burglary and theft in Highland County.

If these men have ever done work at your home and it was later burglarized, police ask you to call Sgt. Robinson at the Goshen Township Police Department at (513) 722-3200.
