Kroger tries out shop online, pick up in store program
FOX19 NOW file photo.
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -
Kroger is trying to stay on top of the digital age by testing out a click and collect program.
Associates at the Liberty Township Kroger Marketplace location are now in the beginning stages of testing the trial program.
Online shopping is not yet available for customers because the grocery store chain hopes to start small to get out the kinks before making it available to the public.
However, once Kroger decides the program has proven successful in one store, it will expand to other stores throughout the Tri-State and eventually to other divisions as well.
The new technology is provided by a company called QueVision which has worked with the store in the past. Kroger also pointed out that they have been learning a lot about this technology by working with the Harris Teeter grocery store chain.
As far as timing goes, Kroger does not yet have a set date schedule for when this feature will be available to the public.
