CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A former Northwest High School math teacher will no longer be able to teach after pleading guilty to charges he was inappropriately involved with a female student.

Kenneth Goodin, 28, pleaded guilty in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on Thursday to a charge of attempted felonious assault. He was originally indicted on charges of sexual battery stemming from an alleged May 16 incident with a female student.

Goodin will be sentenced on Oct. 8, and faces up to a year in jail. Regardless of his jail time, however, Goodin permanently loses his Ohio teaching license.

Goodin resigned June 4 from his teaching and coaching positions with Northwest Local Schools.
