A 14-year-old football player was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital by medical helicopter Thursday night after being injured at Milford High School's stadium.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. during a game between Milford Junior High and Nagel Middle School. Authorities say the boy, who is a Nagel student, was injured in "helmet-to-helmet" contact with another player.
Forest Hills Superintendent Dallas Jackson said the boy was kept at the hospital overnight for observation. Jackson reported on Friday that the teen is expected to make a full recovery.
Authorities say the other player involved was not injured.
The helicopter landed on the football field of Milford High School to retrieve the 14-year-old, according to Dan Yeager, Assistant Principal at Milford Junior High School. The game was called with two minutes remaining.
