CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters will not be filing charges against Summit Country Day School students for alleged activities that occurred during an away soccer match in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend.
When the students returned from the trip, rumors circulated that some students were physically hazed during the trip. Head of School Rich Wilson confirmed that several team members were disciplined for violating school rules.
Deters' office conducted an investigation into the rumors and found no crime was committed, describing the incident as "rough housing."
During a press conference, Deters said all soccer team members cooperated in the investigation and that no students felt they had been victimized.
The investigation did find that one of the students may have shoplifted a small item while on the trip, and Deters said that information has been forwarded to the Philadelphia police authorities.
Summit Country Day is a private Catholic school located on Grandin Road in Hyde Park.
