An investigation is underway on the Ohio River after a boat crash killed two people.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) employees Bryce Eastlick, 28, of Lebanon, and John Stack, 29, of Loveland, died when their pleasure boat hit the barge between the Purple People Bridge and the Taylor South gate Bridge at approximately 11:55 p.m., according to Emergency Dispatch.

Eastlick and Stack were the only passengers on the pleasure boat.

The Cincinnati division of the FBI released a statement early Friday:

"It is with great sadness that we advise that two FBI employees were involved in a tragic accident late last night that claimed their lives. At this time, family members are still being notified."
