Police look for Great Clips robbery suspect

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Great Clips in Whitewater Township Monday.

According to police, the man went into the store, showed a gun to employees and then ordered them to get on the floor and not look at him.

The suspect then took two of the employees into the office and demanded that they remove personal items. He ordered them to leave the store through the back exit.

The suspect fled the scene with some personal items, two purses, an employee's cell phone and an unknown amount of cash.

There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and the employees were not injured.

A K9 unit was called to the scene but couldn't locate the suspect. Investigators did however track and recover the cell phone that was taken. It was thrown away several miles from Great Clips.

According to police, the suspect is a white male in his 20s. He was wearing a dark knit cap, a dark brown fake beard, a long sleeve thermal shirt, black gloves, blue jeans and dark shoes.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
