HANOVER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police have identified the woman killed in an accident between a dump truck and car in Hanover Township Wednesday night.

The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on U.S. 27 at State Route 130. A dump truck hauling struck a train overpass, causing its backhoe to slide off the trailer and hit an oncoming car, according to a release from the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the car, identified at 56-year-old Patricia Manning, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 4-year-old passenger was flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for evaluation. Police say the child's injuries are non-life threatening. William Manning, 22, was also in the car but was not injured. He went with the child to Cincinnati Children's.

The driver of the dump truck, 46-year-old Paul Ritter, was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was released a couple hours later.

The accident is under investigation by Butler County's Traffic Unit.
