CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hundreds of Tri-State veterans will head to Paul Brown Stadium Thursday in hopes of finding a job.
Loveland-based RecruitMilitary teamed up with Northern Kentucky-based DAV to put on the career fair. 77 companies registered to attend and according to the job fair website, there are thousands of jobs available.
Some participating companies included AdvancePierre Foods, General Electric, Intelligrated, Devry University, The Home Depot, Prudential Financial and The Art Institutes.
In 2013, 9% of post 9/11 veterans were unemployed compared to the national unemployment rate of 7.4%. Organizers called the numbers concerning because they say those are the veterans who are in their 20's and 30's and should be in their work "prime".
The veteran job fair runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
