Yonah Israel allegedly assaulted woman before shooting arrest

ROSELAWN (FOX19) - The man accused of shooting an ATM technician on Tuesday also allegedly assaulted a woman on the same day he was arrested for murder.

Court documents state Yonah Israel, 36, told a woman "I own you," and "I am your God," after grabbing and holding on to her.

The incident took place on Wednesday outside of Woodward Career Technical High School, located in the 7000 block of Reading Road. One day earlier, Israel allegedly shot and killed Daniel Muscarella, 54, at a PNC Bank ATM less than half a mile away from the high school.

Police say Muscarella was servicing the ATM when he got into a verbal argument with Israel. Authorities found Muscarella shot multiple times and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Israel was taken into custody on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. He is charged with assault for the incident outside Woodward and for the murder of Muscarella.

Officials say he has a criminal history and it is believed he acted alone in the shooting.

"He is very familiar to the officers in the district four area," Cincinnati Police Captain Elliot Isaac said at a press conference hours after Israel's arrest.
