Burfict back in action on Wednesday. (FOX19/Jeremy Rauch)
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict returned to full practice Wednesday for the first time since week two when he left the Atlanta game with a concussion. Just as soon as Burfict returned, AJ Green was being carted off the field during the first 20 minutes of open practice.
Coach Marvin Lewis only said Green left to check his foot. No other details are known at this time. Green leads the team with 17 receptions for 314 yards and two touchdowns this season. He's been dealing with an injury to his right big toe since week two.
Marvin Jones, who tweaked his ankle last week, showed up to practice in sweats and regular shoes. Jones has not played a single snap this season.
Burfict was working with the “Sled” and “tackling machine” and seemed to back to his normal self. Burfict has eight tackles and one forced fumble in two games this season.
