The Bengals and Panthers will battle in The Jungle today to see who the real Queen City is. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. and airs on FOX 19 for those who can't make it to the game.
Cincinnati's star wide receiver A.J. Green will be sidelined due to a toe injury. He will be joining another one of Andy Dalton's favorite targets, Marvin Jones, who's been out all season with an ankle injury.
To make up for missing receivers, the Bengals' running game will need to show a strong presence this afternoon. Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill will need to step up their game if Cincinnati wants a chance for the win.
While the Panthers don't have any “big” names on the defensive side of the ball to stop Bernard and Hill, they do have some key players that the Cincinnati offense needs to watch out for. Defensive end Mario Addison and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards have been making critical moves for Carolina's defense.
On the flipside, the Panthers will still be without key running back DeAngelo Williams. This will give Carolina a rough time on the offensive side of the ball, especially now that Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict will be back on the field to lead the Bengals defense.
Last Sunday, Cincinnati suffered a tough loss in New England, and will come into the game at 3-1. Carolina is currently 3-2 after a win last weekend against Chicago.
The last time the Bengals and Panthers met was in 2010 with a Cincinnati win 20-7 at Paul Brown Stadium.
