Police: Man reportedly exposed himself at Western Hills Target

WESTERN HILLS (FOX19) - For the second time in less than a month, Cincinnati Police are investigating reports of misconduct in a Target restroom.

A police spokesperson tells FOX19 NOW they had a report that a man exposed himself in the women's bathroom at the Western Hills location on Monday. Early last month, police arrested another man they say followed a young boy into the restroom to look at his private parts for, as court records allege, to "sexually gratify himself."

"The only reason I don't like using public bathrooms is because my grandma always told me they're gross. But now it's like a whole other reason not to want to use the public bathroom," said Addisin Ballachino, a Target shopper.

Ballachino goes to that store pretty regularly, admitting it's her favorite store. But, reports of a man exposing himself in the women's bathroom there, is enough to make her pick another location.

"That kind of creeps me out. Who's going to follow me into the bathroom? It makes you want to go somewhere less, but when it's your favorite store, you still want to go. I might find a different Target," said Ballachino.

A police spokesperson tells FOX19 NOW the suspect was gone when they arrived, and there is no description available right now.

"The more you read you into what's going on in the city it's gets crazier and crazier. People just do the strangest things," Ballachino told FOX19 NOW.

Target representatives tell FOX19 NOW that while the company won't confirm the nature of the incident, the company says it's taking the matter seriously and has contacted police. They've directed all of our questions to police.

"I'd warn women to be careful. You don't know what's going on where you go. You've just got to look out for yourself," Ballachino said.

A Target spokesperson has released this statement to FOX19 NOW regarding the incident saying, in part, "The safety and security of our guests is a top priority for Target, and we take these matters seriously."
