ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A pedestrian is injured after being hit by a car on Beechmont Avenue west of Five Mile Road Wednesday morning.
Anderson Township fire crews responded to the crash just before 9 a.m.
According to a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy on scene, the car was traveling eastbound on Beechmont Avenue when the driver struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian ended up on the windshield of the car, but fell off right before the car crashed into a pole off the side of the road.
Police say the pedestrian is in serious but stable condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The driver was taken to Anderson Mercy Hospital with no visible injuries.
The eastbound lanes of Beechmont Avenue reopened just before 10 a.m. The westbound lanes will remain closed until the car is towed and the area is cleaned up.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, the driver was driving erratically before crashing.
