ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police say a driver was possibly under the influence of drugs when she struck a pedestrian Wednesday morning on Beechmont Avenue west of Five Mile Road.

Anderson Township fire crews responded to the crash just before 9 a.m.

Constance Marziale, 55, of Silverton was driving a Toyota Camry eastbound on Beechmont Avenue when she lost control, striking two utility poles then a pedestrian, according to a release from Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil.

Police say the victim, age 49, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.

Marziale was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Once released, she will be charged with aggravated vehicular assault, OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain control.
