Police find suspect hiding in his attic

ST. BERNARD, OH (FOX19) -  A 44-year-old man is under arrest this morning after a police chase and manhunt in St. Bernard overnight.

Bobby W. Adkins fled on southbound Interstate 75 from Mitchell Avenue to I-74, where he bailed from a white van and ran into the woods.

He briefly eluding authorities, but they later got a tip he returned to his home on Mitchell Avenue, said St. Bernard Police Lt. Bill Ungruhe.

Police found him hiding in his attic just before 2:30 a.m.

Ungruhe first encountered Adkins on West Mitchell Avenue near Vine Street as they investigated a car break-in nearby on Orchard Street just after midnight.

Adkins, who had six open warrants, took off.

He is not suspected to be involved in the car break-in.
