Although Oct. 31 is all about dressing up in frightening ensembles, one company is selling a costume that many say is too scary, and too soon, for Halloween.

Online costume retailer brandsonSale.com is selling Ebola-themed costumes for $79.99. Called the “Ebola containment suit,” it comes with a white suit, shield, mask, safety goggles and gloves.

“You are sure to be prepared if any outbreak happens at your Halloween party. This will literally be the most ‘viral' costume of the year," the description states.

Ebola has killed thousands of people worldwide and health officials are attempting to alleviate concerns as two more U.S. citizens were recently diagnosed.

Online critics say this makes for an insensitive costume choice, while other retailers seem to be jumping on board. At least one dozen Ebola-themed outfits are available for purchase on the web along with other Ebola novelties.

A search on Etsy, a website where anyone can sell their handmade items, reveals an assortment of Ebola pieces including jewelry, a t-shirt and a cross stitch art.
