CINCINNATI (FOX19) - UPDATE: Jason Gmoser has been indicted on four additional charges. Gmoser is the son of Butler County Prosecutor, Michael Gmoser.
The four charges include: sexual exploitation of children, coercion or enticement of female, aggravated sexual abuse and criminal forfeiture in violation of exploitation of minors.
Below is the original story.
Jason Gmoser, the son of Butler County Prosecutor Michael Gmoser, was arraigned on Friday for three counts related to child pornography.
Gmoser appeared in Cincinnati's U.S. District Court arraigned on charges of child exploitation, conspiracy to advertise child pornography and conspiracy to distribute child pornography.
Court documents state Gmoser, 35, and four other men were indicted on Oct. 9. for operating a child exploitation enterprise between May 2012 and October of this year.
Prosecutor Michael Gmoser expressed sadness at the situation and said he plans to address the public sometime next week.
A protection order was filed against Gmoser in 2010 by Jamie Pickett, of Hamilton, alleging Gmoser followed her child around and repeatedly called the home demanding to see the child. In protection order documents, the Pickett also alleged Gmoser admitted to her that he molested her child but no formal charges were filed against Gmoser.
"He has just caused so much problems with my family. My son has been hospitalized with depression. His self-esteem has gone down and he's just not the same kid as he was before all of that happened," said Pickett. She said Gmoser was initially a family friend, but the issues five years ago led her to move with her family to Colorado.
Gmoser is being held at the Campbell County Jail with a detention hearing set for Tuesday.
