Police: Alexandria sees increase in thefts from unlocked cars

ALEXANDRIA, KY (FOX19) -

The Alexandria Police Department is warning residents of an increase in thefts from unlocked cars.

Authorities say several thefts occurred late Friday night through early Saturday morning.

The suspects are not breaking into cars but are gaining access to unlocked cars, police say.

Alexandria Police are asking residents to lock their cars to make sure property isn't stolen.

According to police, there have also been complaints of vandalism to Halloween decorations.

If you see any suspicious activity in the area, you are asked to call 859-292-3622.
