The Cyclones opened up scoring early just 1:30 into the first period, Stephan Vigier slammed the first goal of the season after taking a pass from Brian Nugent in front of the net.
Goaltender Rob Madroe saw 35 saves and was tested eight times in the win.
Toledo drew the game to one goal after scoring on a power play just four minutes into the third period.
However, the Cyclones ended the night for the Walleye scoring two empty net goals with less than two minutes left in the third period.
Gregor Hanson, and Wade Megan had the other two goals for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones return home at U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, Oct. 25.
