WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - A Westwood shooting is under investigation early Monday.
A 23-year-old man told Cincinnati police he was shot once in the buttocks during a 2:30 a.m. street robbery in the 2100 block of Montana Avenue, said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.
The victim said a gunman walked up to him and demanded his items. He refused, turned to walk away and was shot, Brown said.
The gunman fled while the victim told authorities he went to a friend's house nearby on Yearling Avenue in Westwood.
That friend took him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is expected to recover.
