West Chester man arrested for assaulting officers

FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) - A West Chester man was arrested Saturday after engaging in a physical fight with two police officers.

The incident happened Saturday around 6 p.m. at a home in Forest Park .

According to arrest records, officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of W. Kemper Road for reports of a domestic incident. When officers arrived the suspect, Brandon Clemons, 29, had left the house on foot. He returned while officers were talking to his estranged wife.

Clemons then began yelling and cursing at his estranged wife and officers, police records state. Officers attempted to place him under arrest as he charged into the house but Clemons resisted, resulting in a struggle.

During the altercation, Clemons and one of the officers fell off a 6-foot tall loft porch, landing on the ground.

One officer sustained injuries to his elbow and knee. The other officer sustained injuries to his right eye, both knees and one of his fingers. That officer went to the hospital for treatment.

According to court records, police tazed Clemons to take him into custody.

Clemons is charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of assault and two counts of resisting arrest. He is being held at the Hamilton County jail.
