GINGERBREAD DOUGH

GINGERBREAD DOUGH

 

 

1 ¼    Cups Brown Sugar

1 ½    Cups Granulated Sugar

1       Cup Crisco

1       Teaspoon Salt

2      Teaspoon Baking Powder

3      Tablespoons Molasses

2      Teaspoons Ginger

2      Teaspoons Cinnamon

3      Eggs, at room temperature

1       Egg White, room temperature

7      Cups Cake Flour, sifted

 

 

·        Cream both sugars, Crisco, salt, baking powder, molasses, ginger and cinnamon, just until smooth.

·        Slowly add eggs and egg white.

·        Add sifted cake flour and blend until smooth.

·        Wrap and chill dough for 2 hours.

·        Once chilled, knead dough until smooth.

·        Roll and cut into desired shapes.

·        Bake 350 until dry and golden brown, about 25 minutes.
