FOX19 NOW has selected Kara Sewell as the new co-anchor of FOX19 NOW weekday mornings. Sewell will begin her on-air duties on December 8th.
Sewell is no stranger to mornings. She joins FOX19 NOW from KWCH-TV in Wichita, Kansas, where she anchored the four-and-a-half hour-long morning newscast and half-hour noon newscast. Previously, she anchored at reported at KOSA-TV in Midland, Texas.
Sewell graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in communication and media studies.
“We really liked the fact that she has several years of experience on the morning anchor desk. She has a great reputation in Wichita and is very engaged in the same community organizations we are, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation,” said Bill Lanesey, Vice President/General Manager. “She gelled instantly with Rob, Frank, and Denise. We think she will be a tremendous addition to the Cincinnati morning landscape.”
“Kara is smart, trustworthy, and extraordinarily relatable,” said Kevin Roach, News Director. “We here liked her from the moment we met her. We believe Cincinnati will, too.”
