MOUNT WASHINGTON (FOX19) -

Four McNicholas High School football players have been kicked off the team and suspended after police say they assaulted another student.

Dan Andriacco of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati says the four teens are being investigated following an incident that happened in the school's locker room.

According to police records, a 14-year-old was struck in the groin with cleated shoes by another student on Oct. 9. A third student then pulled down his own shorts and stuck his buttocks in the victim's face.

The students returned to school Thursday after a five-day suspension. The football team plans to continue the rest of the season without them.

Cincinnati police were made aware of the incident and are conducting an investigation. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
