Archdiocese Not Releasing Names Of Priests Being Investigated

The Cincinnati Archdiocese says they are not sure how many, if any, more priests have been accused of sexually abusing children. The group called Survivors Network of Those Abused By Priests, or SNAP, believes the archdiocese should release the names of priests who are currently being investigated. The victims also got word this week that a $3,000,000 settlement fund will not be paid out this year but instead early next year. SNAP's Christy Miller says, "Our biggest concern in all of this is that there are other child molesters out there currently serving in ministry and that they could possible still be abusing children." Meantime Dan Andriaocco the Archdiocese spokesperson says, "We don't have credible allegations at this point against any priest who has not been removed from ministry. When we have credible allegations we'll do that if we get any." The tribunal responsible for dispersing the $3,000,000 to the 132 priest sexual abuse claimants is expected to meet next month. There are still some 6 dozen civil suits still pending.
