Cyclones give up six goals in final two periods, lose 8-2

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cyclones returned back to US Bank Arena Saturday night for the 2014-2015 season, but ended the game with a huge loss.

After ending the first period with a 2-2 tie to the Kalamazoo Wings, the Cyclones gave up 6 unanswered goals, losing 8-2.

Cyclones' goaltender Rob Madore played the entire game facing 27 shots, and made 19 saves.

Two Wings players had two goals on the night, forwardd Josh Brittian and center Curtis Valk.

Valk recorded three-points in the Wings victory.

Forward Andrew Yogan picked up his first goal of the season off an assist from defender David MacDonald.  Wade Megan picked up a team-leading second goal of the season.

The Cyclones went 0-for-3 on the powerplay.

Cyclones hockey returns to US Bank Arena on Nov. 7 against the Indy Fuel; the Cyclones face Quad City in Moline, Ill on Halloween.
