Arrest Made In Girl's Disappearance

Arrest made in girl's disappearance

Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man today with raping a little girl who remains missing more than a week after she disappeared from her bed.

Suburban Madison Township police Chief Greg Ryan says physical evidence led officers to arrest Lindsey Bruce and charge him with one count of rape in the disappearance of Emily Rimel. The five-year-old is still missing. Ryan says Bruce could face more charges and that officers are searching his residence.

Authorities say Emily disappeared from her bed early December Seventh. Police have said Bruce was a friend of Lindsay's mother's boyfriend, and the suspect had spent the night of the seventh at the apartment where Lindsey was sleeping.
