FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A woman was arrested for prostitution during a raid at Asian Spa in Fairfield Township Thursday.

According to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the Butler County BURN (Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics) unit conducted a raid at the spa in the 3000 block of Hamilton-Middletown Road around 11:30 a.m.

Authorities say the massage parlor has been under investigation for months following complaints of possible illegal sexual acts being performed there.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says that complaints about the spa began almost immediately after it opened.

"We executed search warrants in 2013 at this same address for prostitution and arrests were made then as well," said Sgt. Mike Hackney, supervisor of the BURN unit.

Yunmei Wallis, 42, of Dayton was arrested Thursday and charged with promoting prostitution, a felony.

"There was a language barrier that made this case difficult," said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones. "Most of the employees spoke Mandarin Chinese, which made it tough on undercover agents to decipher. There will be more employees and possibly some customers facing criminal charges. This investigation is just getting started."

Butler County Sheriff's Office, the Butler Undercover Regional Narcotics department (BURN) and the Fairfield Township police department are collaborating for the investigation.
