DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Lauren Hill and her Mount Saint Joseph teammates got a big send off in Delhi Sunday.
"Pack the Pike" had people cheering on Hill as they loaded up for the big game.
Sunday is Lauren Hill's first ever game playing for the Mount St. Joseph women's basketball team. She was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last year that has left her with only months to live.
People made signs, and some of the local authorities got involved, leading the team to Xavier University's Cintas Center, where the game will be played Sunday afternoon.
The biggest announcement, however, was declaring the day as "Lauren Hill day."
"It's Lauren Hill day in Delhi Township. I don't know if it gets her anything free but, this is just a fun way for everybody. Everybody has embraced Lauren just around the country, and especially here in Delhi," said Jill Eichhorn from Mount Saint Joseph University.
Tickets for the 2:00 pm game were sold out within the hour of them going on sale. If you don't have tickets, you can still watch the game on Fox Sports Ohio.
