Sunday was Hill's

women's basketball team. She was

diagnosed with an inoperable brain

tumor last year that has left her with only months to live.

Hill

to raise money for research into the brain cancer that has left her with only months to live.

Although she's right-handed, Hill has to shoot with her left hand now because the tumor has affected her coordination. Also, she can't move her head side-to-side because it makes her dizzy.

Since then, many local athletes and teams have participated in the challenge.

Three members of the Harlem Globetrotters put their own "spin" on the #Layup4Lauren Challenge Sunday to help raise awareness for The Cure Starts Now.

Down the road in Lexington, members of the University of Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team took the challenge.
