LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Three suspects were arrested on Monday after they allegedly held up two Burger King employees in the parking lot of the Liberty Township restaurant.
Jalen Mathis, 19, of Michigan, James Bankston, 20, of Liberty Township and an underage suspect were each charged with robbery, a first degree felony.
The suspects approached the employees at gunpoint around 2 a.m. as they walked to their cars, according to a release from the Butler County Sheriff's Office. One victim gave up his wallet before the suspects fled in a vehicle.
Witness descriptions led police to locate Mathis, Bankston and the juvenile at a Thorton's Gas Station on U.S. 42 in Mason where they were arrested.
"Luckily the victims were not injured and this trio of thugs was stopped quickly. They are now behind bars where they belong," Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones was quoted as saying in the release.
