Bystander injured in Avondale shooting

AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Police are investigating a shooting in Avondale that left a bystander injured Monday.

According to police, two black males were seen arguing near Northern and Burnet avenues before shots were fired.

Police say a bystander was shot and taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center. Police say they believe he was shot in the stomach.

A local pastor's car was also shot in the crossfire.

Pastor Ennis Tait said he was driving by the mini market when he heard a pop. He thought he drove over something but later realized his van had been shot. His children and wife were in the car.

Pastor Tait says he has recently been working to stop the violence in the area.

Cincinnati Police continue to investigate.
