P&G offers buyouts to managers worldwide

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Procter & Gamble Co. is making cuts and this time it's the managers being eliminated.

P&G offered buyouts to thousands of managers worldwide, including longtime Cincinnati-based managers, sources tell FOX19 NOW.

Eligible employees were notified last week via email.

Employees interested in the buyout option have to apply and will be notified if they were accepted in February.

Some employees will be eligible for a years pay in severance depending on length of service.

FOX19 NOW reached out to P&G for comment. This was their response:

P&G continually restructures the business and improves productivity. We consider it to be an ongoing part of normal operating activities. As a result, we almost always have organization changes underway in some parts of our business, and this will continue.

We will continue to manage enrollment changes through natural attrition, selective hiring, and separation programs. When separations are necessary, employees who leave will receive Company support for their transitions and we will treat them with care and respect.

FOX19 NOW will update this story as more information becomes available.
