Suspect leads police on chase through west side

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A driver with a suspended license is scheduled to face a Hamilton County judge Tuesday after police say he led them on a vehicle pursuit through several west side neighborhoods.

Travis Mitchell, 23, of Aurora, Indiana, was charged with burglary and failure to comply with police.

Mitchell's bond was set at $51,000.

According to court records, Cheviot police spotted Mitchell driving way from a possible burglary in progress Monday and then make a traffic violation on Wesselman Road just west of Rybolt Road.

The officer said he tried to pull Mitchell over, but Mitchell refused to stop.

The suspect eluded officers all the way from Cheviot over to Green Township.

That's where they say he :"created a substantial risk of physical harm" to two officers in separate patrol cars, one on Filview Circle near Hutchinson Road and a second on Harrison Avenue near Filview Circle, court records state.

At one point, he allegedly drove his vehicle toward one of the approaching cruisers and tried to hit it.

He was eventually stopped on Harrison Avenue and taken into custody.
