COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A father is under arrest after police say they found three guns and drugs in his home with his children.
Justin Higgins, 35, was charged Tuesday with two counts of child endangering, drug trafficking, child endangering and having a weapon while under disability.
According to court documents, Colerain Township police found the weapons and marijuana plants at his Overdale Drive residence on Sunday. His children are 15 and 6.
Specifically, authorities seized 9 mature marijuana plants growing in his backyard, 22 harvested ones drying in a shed, five one-gallon freezer bags packaged for sale, about 10 pounds of the drug drying in a secret machine, a 50-gallon tote filled with loose marijuana and several vacuum sealed and pre-weighed bags of marijuana.
Detectives also found $8,000 in cash.
Higgins is not permitted to carry weapons due to previous felony convictions of abduction and drug possession, court records show.
