GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Four workers at a west side meat processing plant were overcome with smoke inhalation and taken to a hospital after fire broke out Tuesday, fire officials said.

The employees have minor injuries and are expected to recover.

Crews responded to Zwanenberg Food Group, 3600 Muddy Creek Rd., as heavy smoke enveloped the building just after 8:30 a.m.

Flames broke out in the second floor compressor room. Flames were contained to that area.

The cause remains under investigation. Fire crews said they expect to be on scene for the next several hours investigating.

The business is closed until the health department comes out and inspects.
