18-year-old shot while sitting in parked car

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police are looking for information after an 18-year-old was shot in the leg and robbed while sitting in his car Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened in the 4500 block of Taylor Avenue in Sycamore Township.

Patrick Rudolph, 18, was sitting in his parked car around 5 p.m. when a man opened the passenger door and demanded Rudolph's money.

The suspect then shot Rudolph in the knee, opened the glove box, stole his wallet and then took his cell phone before fleeing on foot.

Police say he may have gotten in a small gray vehicle, like a Ford Focus.

Rudolph was able to drive to his house after the shooting and was taken to Bethesda North Hospital by a family member. He has since been treated and released.

Police are looking for the suspect, described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 19. He was wearing a red sweater and armed with a revolver.

The case is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
