CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Police say a man died after suffering a medical episode on northbound Interstate 75 Saturday afternoon.
St. Bernard Police and Cincinnati Police say they responded to an accident at approximately 2:30 p.m. by the Norwood Lateral near mile marker 7.6. Upon arrival, Cincinnati Units along with their units found a male black driver unresponsive behind the wheel of of a tan colored Acura. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
Originally, authorities on the scene told FOX19 NOW that a 51-year-old male suffered a heart attack and died.
Police say that there is a possibility that the driver suffered the medical episode prior to the accident. The Hamilton County Coroner's office is doing an analysis of the body.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by St. Bernard Police with the assistance of the Cincinnati Police Department.
The identity of the driver is being withheld by police until the family is notified.
