Trial delayed for man accused of stabbing wife

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, OH (FOX19) - A man accused of stabbing his wife several times last year appeared in court on Wednesday and was found incompetent to stand trial for the crime.

Andre Jeter is charged with attempted aggravated murder, felonious assault and domestic violence for the Oct. 8 attack.

According to Hamilton County dispatchers, the couple's children found Monica Jeter after she was attacked and it was their 12-year-old child who made the 911 call.

"My dad, he just hit my mom and she's bleeding a lot and he jumped on her and everything and now he's gone he just left, ran," the boy, 12, told the dispatcher.

His siblings, ages 10, 11 and 9, were also inside the North College Hill home at the time of the attack. They were placed with family members.

Monica Jeter died several weeks after the incident.

Jeter will enter a behavioral health facility and return to court in December.
