Reds name Riggleman 3B coach

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Reds have a new third base coach.

Today the Reds named Jim Riggleman as the coach for third base for the upcoming season. Riggleman has been with the organization for three years. In his time with the Reds he has worked in the player development department for the Reds' AA and AAA affiliates in Pensacola and Louisville.

Riggleman has third base coach experience with Cleveland in 2000 and has also worked as a first base coach for St. Louis in 1989 and 1990. He has worked in various positions throughout professional baseball since 1981, including time with the Nationals, Mariners, Cubs, Padres, and Dodgers.

Cincinnati's coaching staff consists of Jay Bell, Don Long, Lee Tinsley, Jeff Pico, Mack Jenkins, Billy Hatcher, Freddie Benavides, and Mike Stefanski.
